Rendering to Reality: Snell Isle Residence

Dutch West Indies-Inspired Dream Home Brought to Life through Thoughtful Design & Visualization.

Clear ph Design’s hands-on approach to interior and environmental design has allowed us to broaden our horizons into branding residential spaces.

Our latest property highlight features a recently-completed custom residence, located in the affluent neighborhood of Snell Isle on the northeast coast of St. Petersburg, Florida. Owned and soon-to-be inhabited by a family with young children, we kept functionality and usability in mind without sacrificing style.

Clear ph’s team of designers, innovators, and creators worked intimately with the client throughout the entire process — from conception to completion — to help bring the family’s visions of their dream home to life. In the initial planning phase, we utilized moodboards to lay the groundwork for conceptualizing the space. Once the ideas had been refined, the client’s vision was brought to life through photorealistic architectural renderings. This allowed the client to see the selections in a three dimensional environment, opening the conversation for adjustments and decisions.

Real Talk? Renderings Are the Real Deal

So what exactly are renderings? Architectural renderings are two-dimensional and three-dimensional images of a proposed design, such as an exterior building elevation or an interior residential kitchen. The goal of renderings are to illustrate lifelike experiences of how a space, building, or home will look like before they have been built.

Architectural renderings create value to a home owner, builder, or developer by helping to conceptualize what is possible in the space, as well as providing a visual to fabricators for the desired final product. Not all interior design firms provide rendering services, but when you find one that does, and one that does them well, it can really take your property investment to the next level.

Once the exterior and interior renderings for the Snell Isle Residence had been finalized, they became a useful resource for local fabrication partners T2theS and concrete artists Beton Studio.

Inspired by the Dutch West Indies coastal architecture, our team worked hand-in-hand with the architect and general contractor, Tampa Bay City Living, to make suggestions regarding exterior finishes such as soffits, shutters, windows, and doors. The interiors were designed to be lightful and airy, with an open living environment connected to an expansive kitchen and custom wet bar, complete with an ice chest and sub-zero wine storage. The living and entertaining spaces were illuminated by large glass doors and windows that led out to the veranda and pool deck.

Additional design details include a 28-foot stairwell with handcrafted wainscoting and black matte railings, a chasmal entryway anointed by a Serena & Lilly chandelier, and bold wallpaper accent walls in the dining room and powder rooms. The master bathroom features ‘his and her’ walk-in closets with a built-in wine cooler, and a fully custom glass-enclosed wet room — a focal point of the master bath. Hand-crafted custom cabinetry in a matte black finish was distinguished by veined granite countertops and brushed brass hardware.
