The Perry Goes Public

Clear ph is elated to serve as the creative team behind prominent developer’s latest boutique condominium, The Perry.

The secret is out! As announced in St. Pete Rising, Wednesday, August 12, we can now share what we’ve been up to these last few weeks! Introducing The Perry, the newest luxury residential development planned for Downtown St. Petersburg.

JMC Communities, which has previously developed Ovation, a 26-story building at 140 Beach Drive, The Florencia, a 21-story building at 100 Beach Drive, and Rowland Place, a 6-story building at 146 4th Avenue NE, has announced its latest project: The Perry.

We were humbled when Founder and CEO Mike Cheezem approached Clear ph to spearhead the creative direction of the project from start to finish. Clear ph will be flushing out everything from naming and branding, architectural renderings and environmental design, to website design, marketing, PR, and more.

The proposed tower is planned for 136 4th Avenue NE, less than a block from the revered Beach Drive. Currently, the location is home to the Bay Gables house, a 1910-built Vernacular home which was awarded historic designation by the city in 1994. Since it is a protected structure, plans for The Perry include the relocation of the Bay Gables home to an empty lot less than a mile away, at the northeast corner of 8th Avenue N and Dartmoor Street N.

The Perry’s name and design pays homage to to C. Perry Snell, a prominent developer and philanthropist whose legacy includes the Snell Arcade Building, Snell Isle neighborhood and much more. Mr. Snell also had an appreciation for green space and worked with C. L. Straub, the namesake for Straub Park, to preserve St. Pete’s waterfront.

The Perry will be comprised of 20 residences with four different plans available ranging from 1,700 square feet to 2,700 square feet, in addition to two custom penthouse homes. It will feature design elements that coincide with C. Perry Snell’s concepts such as spacious, light-filled plans and high ceilings. Modern amenities include a rooftop terrace, fitness center, bicycle storage, and ample garage space. Gorgeous views of downtown St. Petersburg, Tampa Bay, the Vinoy, the new pier, and the Old Northeast Neighborhood will be available from The Perry.

The Perry joins a growing list of developments planned for Downtown St. Petersburg and its surrounding areas. Construction for The Perry is expected to begin Spring 2020.
