Color Drenching
Summer is the season of color, and this year we have been leaning into highly saturated, deeply pigmented bursts of color. One way that color has been seeping onto our mood boards is through dramatic, color drenched spaces. Color drenching in interior design is the bold choice to saturate a room in a single hue, from walls, ceilings, and trim, to sometimes even furniture and flooring. This technique creates an immersive, cohesive, and emotionally resonant space. By washing the room in a single color, subtle moments of art, accents, and life being lived are highlighted by contrast and the space as a whole is that much more impactful.
Butter Yellow
It’s the color of the summer, plain and simple. It’s positive, it’s invigorating, it’s everywhere. We’re especially loving Benjamin Moore’s Sweet Butter, and are daydreaming about a space drenched in it from crown to base. From the runways of Paris Fashion Week to the portfolios of many interior designers we admire across the internet, and even into our work and our wardrobes, butter yellow brings the sunshine in — even during those daily afternoon summer showers.
Organic Modern
Creating from our home base in Florida, we are consistently inspired by our subtropical climate and the organic materials that surround us. We seek to blue the lines between interior and exterior spaces, pulling the outside in and our lives outside. Travertine, white oak, soapstone, Monstera deliciosa, arches and curves. One of our current residential projects is especially leaning into the Old Florida lifestyle, embracing vibrant colors, organic shapes, and warm textures.
A Hot Take
When conceptualizing a space, we love to start with a color, pattern, piece, or specific design style that speaks to the emotions we want to evoke and build our palette from there. We may nod to trends from time to time, but overall we focus on allowing our client and Clear ph’s signature style to resonate throughout the design which always touches back to a timeless, fun, and bespoke place that transcends what’s hot right now.
